Q. Do you set up and dismantle the equipment?
Yes, for safety and insurance purposes, a member of our team will always handle the setup and dismantling of your hired inflatable or soft play equipment. Whether you've booked a bouncy castle or ride-on toys, we ensure everything is installed safely and correctly.
If you need an early drop-off, we’re happy to accommodate. We’ll set it up in advance, and you’ll simply switch it on at the wall when you're ready. Please avoid moving the equipment once it's set.
Q. What time will you arrive and collect?
We’ll coordinate drop-off and collection times around your event. If you’re hiring a hall, please allow at least a 30-minute buffer on either side for setup and pack-down. While we aim for punctuality, factors like traffic or weather can occasionally affect arrival times.
Q. My event goes on until late, how late can you collect?
If you’re hosting a late event we can sometimes offer late collection or overnight inflatable hire for an extra fee. Please request this when booking. The setup area must be secure for overnight bookings.
Q. Do you hire outside all year round?
No. Our Inflatable Hire in Long Wittenham and surrounding areas is only available outdoors from April to September. From October to March, the weather and ground conditions make it unsafe. However, you can still enjoy our indoor setups like soft play, ball pit hire, or ride on toys in venues during the colder months.
Q. Can I have a face painter at the party?
We advise caution with face painting. Face paints can permanently stain inflatables. If you choose to include a face painter, we recommend scheduling them at the end of the party. As the hirer, you’ll need to check the inflatable regularly and ensure painted faces are wiped before use. We have contacts for face painters who use castle-safe paints and also provide castle cleaning products for their own paints. Please ask us for these.
Q. What happens if the weather is poor?
For outdoor bookings, safety comes first. If there is heavy rain or high winds, we may need to cancel. In this case, there is no charge. You’re welcome to change the location to an indoor venue instead. Just let us know as soon as possible.
Q. What do I do if it rains during the party?
Leave the inflatable running and remove any children immediately. Once the rain has stopped, wipe the inflatable dry before resuming use. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact our team for advice.
Q. Where do you deliver to?
We offer Inflatable Hire in Long Wittenham and throughout a 15-mile radius we can travel Ruther afield however, there is an additional charge for this, dependent on distance, including Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage and nearby Towns and villages. If you're outside this area, please contact us - additional travel charges may apply if we can accommodate.
Q. Do I need to provide anything?
Yes- just access to a power socket. We bring everything else needed for setup.
Q. Do the electric blowers use a lot of electricity?
Not at all. Our electric blowers are energy efficient and cost approximately 18p per hour to run. They’re suitable for household power supplies and won’t add much to your bill.
Q. What surface do you need for inflatables?
For outdoor hire, inflatables must be set up on natural grass so we can stake them securely. We cannot install on artificial turf, concrete, decking, or other hard surfaces. This applies to all equipment, including our ball pit hire and bouncy castles.
Q. How safe are your inflatables?
Your safety is our top priority. All inflatables are annually tested by a certified PIPA inspector to ensure they meet the highest UK safety standards. Our blowers and extension leads are also PAT tested each year. Certificates are available upon request.
Q. Do you have insurance?
Yes, we’re fully insured with Public Liability cover up to £10 million. However, adult supervision is required at all times, and the hirer is responsible for the safe use of the equipment once set up.
Q. How and when do I pay?
Payment is required before or upon delivery. We accept cash, card, or bank transfer. We confirm bookings ahead of time as payment is due on delivery. We are happy to organise advance payment, invoice payments or adjust to your needs.
